Black-naped Monarch

The Black-naped Monarch is a flycatcher found certain areas of Tulu Nadu. They live in forest habitat in pairs or in flocks. The male is bluish with a black nape. Females are duller and lacks the black markings. The breeding season id from May to July. The nests are cup shaped and built on a tree branch that has a fork shape. They lay 3 eggs with both parents incubating and raising the young. They feed on insects.
